Description
I’m thrilled to offer this unique grab bag of 19 of my zines, curated from over two decades of zine-making. This collection features a wide range of zines, including works no longer in circulation from 10-20 years ago. This is a rare opportunity to get your hands on a piece of zine history!
About the Collection:
Includes 19 zines, ranging from poetry, reflections on mental health, chronic pain, and life as a queer Xicana/Tejana single mother navigating the complex South Texas landscape.
Several of these zines are no longer available anywhere else, making this grab bag a collector’s dream.
Zines vary in themes, covering topics like environmental racism, women of color feminism, the Rio Grande Valley, crip life, and more.
Highlights:
This collection includes some of my earlier works from The South Texas Experience Zine Project (2005) and South Texas Experience: Love Letters (2015), as well as newer zines, some of which explore the intersections of disability, race, and community.
About the Creator: I’ve been a zinester for over 20 years, and my work has been featured in a variety of platforms, from zine fests to Bitch Media. Recently, my work was highlighted in the book Crip Genealogies, in a chapter by Magda García entitled “My Mother, My Longest Lover”:: Cripping South Texas in Noemi Martinez’s South Texas Experience Zine Project and South Texas Experience: Love Letters. This chapter explores how my zines examine the relationships between the crip queer brown body and the South Texas landscape, a region shaped by colonization, rebellion, and lack of resources.
García’s analysis focuses on my writings on depression, chronic physical pain, and the Rio Grande Valley’s harsh realities—through zines filled with poetry, prose, and striking photography that reflect on both the beauty and the struggles of life in this region.
Why This Grab Bag? This grab bag gives you a chance to explore my zines across time, from intimate personal reflections to explorations of broader social and political issues. If you’re interested in the intersections of race, disability, feminism, and the deeply personal, this collection is for you.
Limited Availability:
Once this set sells out, many of these zines will not be available again, making this a truly one-of-a-kind offer!
